In the Embrace of Mother Nature

One of my very few images with a direct human element! It was a complete fluke, and I had taken enough exposures to remove him from the frame in post. But Amir ended up providing the perfect sense of scale and also almost turned the landscape into an action shot. I blended three different exposures to create the best possible base for the image. A higher ISO, higher shutter speed shot for the foreground, one shot for Amir and then a final shot for the falls and background.
To help create a greater sense of depth, I painted a bit of mist in the background with some warmer hues. Not using a polarizer also contributed to this - all of the glare on the leaves really help to create layers of separation throughout the image. The contrasty glare on the foreground ferns helps to guide the viewer up the frame.
